Our friends at Techtools in  Morden, Sutton, UK, recently won an order from a major oil company in Egypt. This was for 103 of the latest JB84 Fire extinguisher cabinets. Aslam Hatimi, from Techtools explained the market in North Africa is picking up after quite a long pause in investments by the oil companies in this region.

This is great to see and Techtools have an excellent relationship with the oil companies across North Africa including Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya, who appreciate the quality of the products they sell. The oil companies know from previous experience of using Jo Bird cabinets, the JB84s will withstand the harsh environmental conditions and provide a great level of protection for the fire equipment inside.  Techtools is looking to expand the use of Jo Bird cabinets across their client base in North Africa, refer to their website www.techtoolsltd.com

At a recent EIC event hosted by Amanda Duhon called Outcomes of COP26: where do we go from here?, Regina Mayor, Global head of energy for KPMG said she preferred the phase “energy transformation” instead of “energy transition” because the world still needs oil and gas but what we are seeing and need more of, is the reduction in CO2 through a greening of this business. Whether this is through using offshore wind to power oil and gas rigs or buying products like the JB84 made using cleaner processes and won’t need to be replaced for a very long time if at all.

Multiple steps are required at so many levels to make this transformation a reality but this time there really seems to be the will to make this happen.

The JB84 is the latest cabinet design from Jo Bird and can store 1 x 5Kg CO2 Fire extinguisher. For more details please click on the link below
