As part of the International trade week 2022 celebrations, Guy Atkins, MD for Jo Bird attended a networking event for export champions at the magnificent Lancaster house near the Mall in central London. With 42% of UK exporters expecting to increase their exports this year according to the Department for International trade, there is lots going on with UK exports. Guy enjoyed the chance to catch up and share ideas with other exporters and discuss how future growth might be realised.
In such uncertain times, we all recognize the need to increase exports as a means of restoring our battered economy. UK manufactured products have a good reputation for quality internationally but more companies need to be encouraged to export. If you have a service or product with clear points of difference, there are plenty of opportunities out there. Getting to know and working with people in other countries is a lot of fun too.
