Jo Bird are delighted to announce we will be supplying JB29 safety equipment cabinets for Ørsted’s new Hornsea 1, Hornsea 2 and Race bank offshore wind farms. These are located off the East coast of the UK.
This follows Viking Life-saving winning the contract to supply the emergency escape equipment including the cabinets. The JB29s will be mounted to the heli-hoist platforms of the Siemens-Gamesa 8MW wind turbines and provide vital protection in all weathers for the Viking YouSafe immersion suits and Skylotec emergency descent devices. This is another example of the successful collaboration of all the companies involved. It also shows Ørsted’s commitment to providing first class survival equipment for maintenance teams on their offshore wind farms.
