More good news for Jo Bird and company last night

At the Composites UK Industry awards 2022 dinner, Guy Atkins and Dr Laxman Sivanathan picked up the runner up prize in the category “Sustainability award-Net Zero” in recognition of the great strides the company has made towards their Scope 3 Carbon net zero goals. The black tie event was held at the National motor museum in Birmingham and coincided with the Advanced engineering show at the nearby Birmingham NEC.

Earlier in the day, Guy did a presentation at the show about how an SME can go about improving sustainability. During a busy exhibition with lots of distractions, it’s not the easiest thing to do but by all accounts, went down very well.

There is a real move towards collaboration between companies to help achieve carbon reduction and grow the renewables sector in a sustainable manner. We are all in this together and by receiving recognition such as this, it helps to drive further progress.
